Our Story

Where creativity meets heritage, where every thread tells a story. Ra by Rushina was shaped by a passion for celebrating the raw beauty of imperfection. Being global in sensibility, each collection is a dialogue between tradition and modernity. We work with master craftspeople who, alongside their communities, breathe life into every piece.

Our Founder

Raised in Kenya and shaped by her Indian heritage, Rushina draws on a rich cultural tapestry in her approach to design. Trained in Fashion Textiles at the University of Brighton, she creates collections that are rich in colour, texture and story.

Our Craft

We partner with skilled artisan craftsmen who keep the trades of the past alive. Our initiatives provide a valuable source of income and productivity to each community & maker, preserving the knowledge and artistry of the craft.

Tradition Reimagined

Our clothing is created with a focus on longevity — in both material and design. We work with natural, biodegradable fibres that are gentle on the skin and intended to return to the earth over time.

Alongside this, we are committed to preserving handloom and heritage weaving techniques by integrating them into a modern design language. By working with skilled artisans and valuing traditional craftsmanship, we hope to support the continuation of these practices for future generations.

For us, sustainability extends beyond the product itself. It is about contributing to a slower, more considered system — one that values craftsmanship, community, and the enduring relevance of handmade work.

Rooted In Community

Since 2025, we have supported Tumaini Trust Kenya through an ongoing
contribution towards a scholarship. The Trust is committed to empowering
vulnerable children, youth, and families through education, mentorship, and
long-term development initiatives.

Founded and led by Talitha Puri Negri, the organisation focuses on creating lasting impact through scholarships and economic empowerment—prioritising opportunity, independence, and continuity.
